There are many establishments nowadays that still cling to the idea that the number 13 is unlucky and should be avoided in their establishment when possible. This is why some condominiums and apartments do not name the 13th floor as the 13th floor - they may skip the number 13 altogether and just say that floor is the 14th floor. But it seems Strip House of New York has proven that belief to be wrong - after all, it is located on #13 east 12th Street in New York City but it has been named as one of the 25 Best Restaurants in the city. So what does Strip House know that superstitious people don't?
